DO YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN FREE SPEECH? OR DO YOU STOP BELIEVING WHEN IT GOES AGAINST YOUR OWN BENEFIT?
Everyone claims to believe in free speech until it goes against their own personal views,
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "FREE SPEECH UNTIL IT'S HATE SPEECH", you only say that because it goes against your personal beliefs!
You can claim all you want that you believe in free speech, but if you write a line somewhere that "offends" you and you decide now to martyrize that one opinion, that's not truly FREE SPEECH, is it?
DO NOT MISTAKE THIS AS I SUPPORT "X" THINGS OR "Y" THINGS,
I JUST THINK IT'S RIDICULOUS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE CLAIM TO BELIEVE IN THIS, BUT TWIST IT TO BE "HATE SPEECH" WHEN IT'S CONVINIENT TO THEM.
Have an example,
let's say you like trains.
then there's person 2,
they HATE HATE HATE trains with their whole heart, they're the most anti-train person in the world. 
You're both doing an essay or speaking, they say that they HATE trains, what shall you ever do?! you might feel offended or think that THAT person is crazy. You're not crazy, they are!! 
You share your opinion that you like trains, and that person either reacts:
A) GOOD, they respect that you like trains while they HATE them. (True acceptance!)
B) BADLY, they start to try to debate why YOU SHOULD ALSO HATE TRAINS, and if you don't go with their opinion they will degradate you, (i hope that isn't your kink!) and make you look stupid infront of other people, etc.
AN EXAMPLE THAT IS VERY COMMON
Back to trains, you like trains, but lately there's been a huge discussion that trains are in fact BAD (for some reason) 
So, once again, you encounter this person that HATES train (this time, because it's WHAT now it's accepted. )
You both discuss again, and they either react:
A) BADLY, BECAUSE IT'S WHAT PEOPLE THINK NOW, "oh! everyone hates this so i MUST hate it too." (Jeez guy, where's your free will gone to? Did you sign it up to some oddly dressed person with a clipboard?)
(extra points if later they switch up! HYPOCRITES!!)
B) BADLY, if you let society dictate you, you'll end up like an empty husk of a person, you're now a clone of some person (or robot?)!
But, hey! don't let ME dictate you. GO INSIDE SOCIAL CURRENTLY ACCEPTED NORMS OR HAVE FREE WILL. Dont you think following those norms is a form of a cult? devoted followers doing what's "right" and not doing what's "wrong"
(what is wrong is the wrong is right and the right is wrong?) 
So, FREE SPEECH is all, all the ugliness and equally all the "prettiness" that there could be. You can compare it to LIFE, if you want. You might hate some stuff others love, viceversa.
